What are biodegradable and non-biodegradable pollutants?

Biodegradable pollutants are those which are decomposed by bacteria e.g., sewage, cow dung, fruit, vegetable etc.

Non-biodegradable pollutants are those which cannot be decomposed by bacteria e.g., marcury, aluminium, lead, copper, DDT etc.
